They type prompts.
The pros design them.
Most people still think prompting AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude means typing “Write me an email” and waiting for magic. This was what i thought too.. And no wonder they end up saying AI is …..

If you’re telling ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude “Write me an email in response to the following email” — you’re leaving results (and productivity) on the table.

“Prompting Isn’t Typing — It’s Thinking”

Here’s the 5-step thought process good prompters use:
1. Start with the end in mind – What exactly should the output look like?
2. Break it down – Big, vague prompts = vague answers.
3. Set constraints – Word count, tone, sections, even what to avoid.
4. Work in stages – Clarify → Draft → Refine.
5. Meta-prompt – Ask AI to help you design the perfect prompt.

Example:
Instead of:
“Plan my business trip to Singapore.”
“You are a corporate travel planner.
Goal: 3-day Singapore itinerary for a fintech conference.
Audience: Senior executives. Tone: concise, professional.
Constraints: Include travel times, 2 restaurant suggestions/day, meeting slots.
Deliverable: Table format with Day, Time, Activity, Location, Notes.”
The second version sets expectations and produces a far more useful output.

The difference? One gives you fluff. The other gives you gold.
Prompting is not about typing faster — it’s about thinking sharper.
